Mateo Shija is a versatile ICT and AI Data professional with over two decades of experience spanning network administration, IT support, enterprise ICT systems management, and infrastructure operations across multiple organizations in Tanzania.
In parallel, Mateo has carved a focused path in Artificial Intelligence, specializing in data annotation, quality control, and dataset preparation across text, audio, and image modalities. His work spans Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, and multilingual datasets — with particular expertise in English–Swahili data, including real-world code-switching scenarios critical for AI systems in East African contexts.
